RIVERFRONT RESIDENCE

Irvington, New York

Constructed on a beautiful Hudson River site, the house was conceived with respect to open space preservation and view sheds. Choreographed along a stand of evergreen trees, and leaving an open meadow free of development, the 9,000 s.f. residence for a prominent fashion designer was planned as an assembly of smaller structures joined together in the tradition of a New England farmstead. The architectural style is based on the eclectic romantic classicism, Folk Victorian vernacular and early nineteenth century development of the Hudson River Valley.
