This schematic design for rehabilitation and adaptive resuse of an underutilized industrial building on the Hudson River waterfront included extensive analysis of the local zoning codes and a conceptual design for a 25,000 square foot wellness center, retail store, cafe, and new parking structure. Eileen Fisher imagined the facility as a way to extend the wellness programs that her company provides for its staff to the general public. The project was conceived as sustainably designed and includes a green roof, stormwater storage and reutilization systems, wastewater recycling, geothermal heating, cooling, and solar hot water.
